We’re a team of civic-minded individuals and artists committed to making a positive environmental and cultural impact for and in our community. Little Manila Park Inc. is a non-profit, 501(c)3 corporation and is also registered with the NYS Charities Bureau. All donations and proceeds go towards the park building and maintenance.
The overall Project Director is Noel D. Gamboa, a NYS registered architect who has over 30 years of diversified design and construction experience as well as has managed the construction and renovation of multiple public and private spaces and structures. He has also been promoting Filipino Culture, and has been helping many Fil-Am organizations and schools with their own fundraising efforts, and is also fondly known as DJ / “Mr. Pinoy Linedance”.
Our members and volunteers include artists, lawyers, philantrophists, conservationists, and accountants who have been assisting with the community events in the area and/or at major Filipino-American causes.
Our “LiMa” Mission
- To serve the community of all ages and races by helping to develop and maintain much needed greenspaces that are open to the public;
- To promote Filipino American and other cultures via art and events;
- To honor and dedicate the park to the heroes (living and deceased) of the Covid pandemic as the site lies within a former global epicenter;
- Community Building through volunteerism and inclusivity by working with State and City Officials and the community near and far;
- Environmental beautification of Woodside’s Little Manila district.
Our commitment
From our relationships with sponsors, partners, and volunteers, we uphold a standard of excellence in service that embraces hospitality and diversity. Though our commitment and dedication run deep, we will need the support of the elected officials and the community to reach our goals.
