It’s in a bustling area in Queens known as “Little Manila”

Yes, – in Queens, NY, hailed as the most diverse county in the world!!! Situated in a section called Little Manila, which is home to many Filipino-American business establishments and residences. The fenced park site, which has a sloping terrain, roughly the size of two basketball courts, and unused for the last 30-40 years, is only a minute or so walk from the intersection of the Little Manila Ave. street sign at the corner of Roosevelt Ave. and 70th Street. The #7 train to 69th Ave. Fisk Station, and the E, F, R, & M trains to Roosevelt Ave, stop gets you there!

This project in Woodside is under the jurisdiction of NYS District 30 Assemblymember Steven Raga, shown here with Loida Nicolas Lewis Esq. of Filipino Americans for Good Governance, whose combined support have been outstanding. To their left is NY Senator Chuck Schumer.

The project is also strongly endorsed by the Queens Community Board 2 Parks, Environment and Recreation Committee under Chair Anatole Ashraf and Laura Shepard, with the help of a community improvement outreach study and beautification headed by NYC Councilors Julie Won and Shekar Krishnan. We also have the support and guidance of the Philippine Consulate under Consulate General Senen Mangalile.
